Mikaela--Cliche

She is spring. On Monday she pours down, but on Tuesday a beautiful bouquet of flowers blooms from her chest. The next day they’ve all fallen to the ground, within an hour new buds have sprouted in place of the wilted ones. How do you love a girl like this? A girl too inconsistent, different each day. She changes her mind more than spring changes its climate; one day she’ll take you by the hands and dance with you, her smile invites you into her heart. The next day she’s hellish, hot tempered and strikes fear into you. She avoids you as if saying one word will cause the building you two are in to crumble. But she wouldn’t look any less beautiful with chaos surrounding her. You find yourself questioning how her cold eyes burned you on Monday but warmed you on Tuesday. On Thursday, she rains down on everything, not caring who drowns in her tears. Skies that were previously bright and clear are now cloudy. The following day is dark and so is she. She moves as if a weight is on her shoulders that cannot be removed, one look at her and darkness surrounds you. She glances at you and lightning cracks, a minute later rain pours down hitting the ground like bullets. She doesn’t bother with an umbrella, and when you offer her one she declines. Sometimes you think she’d rather drown. A week later she appears to you, the flowers in her heart have fully bloomed once again, she is bright and her smile brings the warmth you’ve been deprived of. She is spring and as inconsistent as the weather. Her warmth never lasts too long and in a week or two you’re positive rain will fall again, flooding the town and your mind. She doesn’t care that you can’t swim.
