How to--Shrimp Alfredo Penne Pasta--Daniel

Alfredo Leilio was the creator of Alfredo pasta in 1908. It started when his wife did not

have an appetite to eat; therefore, he created a dish with cheese and butter to make

her eat. Although Alfredo did not flourish in Italy and the United States, Alfredo pasta is

one of the most common dishes in America.

Shrimp Alfredo pasta is one of my favorite dishes since it has carbohydrates and protein,

essential to feel energetic and healthy for my day. I could eat it daily, which is my

favorite dish to cook for my meal prep.

Ingredients:

● Shrimp

● Butter

● Garlic

● Penne pasta

● Salt

● Pepper

● Paprika

● Garlic powder

● Shredded Parmesan cheese

● Milk

● Oregano

● Basil

Step 1:

Bring water to a boil and season it with salt. Add the penne pasta and cook it to

al dente (to the tooth), meaning biting is firm without being stiff or chalky (around 9

minutes). Sometimes the pasta tends to be overdone and stuck together, in order to

prevent this issue, stirring constantly would be necessary

Step 2:

To prepare the sauce, we will start with the butter and a pan on medium heat to

prevent the butter from burning.

Step 3:

While the butter heats up, the shrimp needs to be seasoned with salt, pepper, paprika,

and garlic powder and let marinate. Seasoning is the most important part since it give

the shrimp the flavor it needs.

Step 4:

Throw in the shrimp with butter and cook it till it is a nice brown color (around 3 minutes

on medium heat). This may vary depending on the shrimp, but usually the color of the

shrimp shows if it's cooked or not.

Step 5:

After the shrimp is done, throw minced garlic on the pan and then 250 mL of heavy

cream and 250 mL of milk to the pan. Heavy cream is the essential part since it gives

the sauce the consistency and flavor.

Step 6:

Add salt, ⅔ cup parmesan cheese to the pan and mix and let it simmer until the pasta is

done. However, keep stirring every few seconds to prevent the sauce from burning.

Step 7:

Once the pasta is done, strain the water but leave enough water for the alfredo

sauce(around one cup of water). Sometimes the sauce comes out too heavy,

therefore a cup of the boiled water helps with that.

Step 8:

Add the pasta on the pan then mix with the alfredo sauce until all the sauce has been

mixed with the pasta.

Sep 9:

Finally, garnish with oregano or basil.
